A variety of learning experiences

Welcome

Welcome to the 2023 Academic Calendar!
Selkirk College is happy you’ve selected us to help you meet your educational goals!

The Academic Calendar is an important map to guide the educational journey at Selkirk College. These pages serve as an important handbook to support not only students, but staff, faculty, and external organizations to obtain the details of how to move from start to finish through a Selkirk College program towards not only graduation, but any education path or goal. If you need to know where to go – this will help get you there!

Details in the Academic calendar are guided by Selkirk College policies that are set through a bi-cameral governance process determined by the British Columbia government. The College maintains both an Education Council and College Board of Governors as directed through the British Columbia College and Institute Act and these bodies play an important role in the oversight of educational matters and approve the policies through which College’s academic procedures and processes are created.

Selkirk College is a designated learning institution in Canada and maintains ongoing accreditation as a public institution through both the Government of British Columbia, as well as through specific regulatory bodies in British Columbia that govern regulated professions. For any questions regarding Selkirk College’s accreditation, or status with provincial regulatory bodies, please contact the Selkirk College Registrar’s Office at admissions@selkirk.ca.
